Picked up an Ecosmart A21 bulb at Home Depot today to replace a Kasa bulb that has been giving me problems and has recently started to flash intermittently.

Looking for assistance getting this added to my Hubitat C-7.
Do I need to use the Hubspace App and set it up on the app first and then migrate it to Hubitat somehow or can I add tis directly into the Hub?
Bulb has Wifi and Bluetooth compatibility.
You could try this:
I really wanted to get Hubspace into Hubitat, so I took a Home Assistant project and reverse-engineered it for Hubitat. I've got it controlling 7 fans with lights. Could use some help testing out the other devices.
Feedback is greatly appreciated!
PS. Shoutout to @djgutheinz (I used your Kasa approach) and Expl0dingBanana & jdeath for their awsome HomeAssistant Projects! Also GitHub Copilot
If it doesn't work, you're likely SOL for HE integration, since those are wifi bulbs.

Yup, for the price of a ZigBee bulb it wouldn't be much of a contest for me.

How has the bulb been working?
Should I just suck it up and either buy a different bulb or maybe just install a switch on that location?
My issue with installing a switch is that I have all toggle switches and hate adding a single decora switch in a 2 gang box.
If I do go with a switch...Can i cheap out and use a Commercial Electric Switch or do i need to go with a more expensive switch?

Then use a z-wave toggle switch. Zooz makes one - the Zen74.

WiZ makes a floodlight version that should work with Hubitat. Pretty sure someone posted that they quite like it.

Unfortunately this location is for a porch light...Need a traditional bulb for this one.
I saw these bulbs but was fearful of trying to integrate these into Hubitat without the philips hue bridge...
Looks like there is an integration for this bulb...I'm going to return this one and pick up on of the Wiz bulbs. Thanks all!

HomeDepot EcoSmart bulbs used to be Zigbee and really inexpensive (2 for $10). This bulb is neither.

I ended up picking up a two pack of the wiz bulbs for $15 last night. Got one installed and it seems to be working well.
Good to hear it.
Not sure if it's something you want to pursue, but personally any time I add a Wi-Fi device to my Hubitat setup I also add a reserved IP for it's MAC in my router.
Especially for something that may be powered off and on occasionally.
Even though it may not technically be necessary it's a pretty small step for the addition of possible future stability.

Appreciate the tip. I’ve gotten pretty consistent in adding fixed ip addresses to most devices on my network.
Just another WIZ data point. I didn't want to pay the Hue tax and installed six of the Wiz PAR 38 120w equivalent bulbs in outside fixtures two years ago and they have worked perfectly. Completely local after setup.
