I have the above located inside a closet in a room down in my basement. If not the furthest from the hub very close to being the furthest. I am trying to get a better understanding how zwave routing works. This device appears to be the routing choice of many of my zwave/zwave+ devices . For example. a switch in my garage routes through a Ring Extender, downstairs to this device and back up to the hub.
The "preferred" routing choices some of my devices make are not causing any issues I see. I am just curious as to why this device is so "popular".
