I just added an Ecolink Zwave Plus Flood & Freeze Sensor to my Hubitat system (Hubitat lists it as being HE compatible). Its freezer sensor is supposed to trigger at > +5F, however I see no way whatsoever to set this up in Hubitat. The Z-Wave inclusion went fine. The device appears under Devices, but when I go to its properties I see no config options -- no mention of freeze at all. My only intent is to be notified if my chest freezer exceeds 5F. Any ideas? Thanks.
Welcome to the communities. Notifications won't be generated from your device directly. You will need to create a rule, setup an entry in the notification app, in the Hubitat Safety Monitor app or likely others as well. If this is your first device, you might want to run through some of the tutorials from Tutorials – HUBITAT.
Hubitat has no "freeze" capability, so I am curious how this has been implemented in Hubitat. This device is recommended to use the Generic Z-wave Contact Sensor driver.
@mike.maxwell , is there a custom attribute that is called out for the freeze component of this sensor or will it come out the same as the flood detection?
