Ecobee Switch+ Motion Detector

I have a few ecobee switch+ devices, they show up as a switch but the device also has a motion detector built in. Will Hubitat support this at some point? I know you support it for the remote sensors, it'd be great if this could be used too. Their app has the ability to turn lights on/off with motion, but I can't limit it by lux like I can in HE...

@mike.maxwell

I am needing the same thing. What is the best way to get a response on this?

My experience on the forums here has been the Hubitat team is very responsive. When a thread gets no response after a month, it seems to generally mean "no plans to do this"

thank you.

Same here

Since it’s HomeKit compatible, you can sync it locally to a virtual switch in HE via Homebridge and HomeKit automations.

This technique will work for just about any HomeKit compatible device. Temperature sensors are the exception. Can’t do any HomeKit automations with them.

Thanks for the idea, but that's way more trouble than I'm willing to put in for something as simple as a motion sensor. I'd just put another motion sensor in the room instead.

Oh I see. I misunderstood. Thought it was the switch you were interested in controlling

The switch actually works with HE natively. It's just not detected as a motion sensor
