Ecobee sensor labels

Using my ecobee thermostat, I have named the remote ecobee sensors according to the room they are in (e.g. Living Room). This works great when using the ecobee app or the screen on the thermostat. I just look for Living Room to see the temperature in the living room.

This naming convention doesn't work so good with HE. So I gave the HE devices representing the sensors a custom label (e.g. Ecobee - Living Room). But, when HE polls the ecobee thermostat every five minutes, HE changes the sensor names back the the sensor names in the thermostat (e.g. Living Room).

Is there any way to stop this?

Did you change the Hubitat ā€œDevice Nameā€ field or the ā€œDevice Labelā€. Try changing the Label field on the Hubitat device to see if that will stick.

I did change the Device Label field. HE changes it back every time it polls the thermostat.
