Ecobee Integration: SmartSensor motion

I've been using the official Ecobee Integration for SmartSensors. For some reason, the motion of all of my SmartSensors are stuck at either active or inactive - seemingly random. Anyone observe the same issue?

When I request refresh, live logs doesn't seem to really get the latest motion status.

After this, Bedroom 3 is still active yet no one has been there for hours.

Any help would be highly appreciated!

As you work through this, keep in mind that these will never really be as responsive as an equivalent zigbee or Z-Wave motion sensor. Even when using local reporting via HomeKit, they can take longer than a minute to report motion and won't reset for approximately 30 minutes after motion has stopped. Cloud-based integrations like the built in ecobee app will add even more time.

And FWIW, the Ecobee Smart Sensors don't respond quickly enough for most automations. A more appropriate term might be "Occupancy Sensor." It can take quite some time (sometimes maybe a minute or so?) for motion to trigger the sensor as active. My guess is that the thermostat is only polling (or the sensors only wake-up and report) every minute or so in order to maximize battery life.
