I have a C7 Hubitat, an Ecobee 4, and have tried to connect via the built-in Ecobee app AND the Ecobee Suite. Through both apps, I can connect to my Ecobee account, but my device doesn't show up in the Ecobee built in app or the Ecobee Suite. Any ideas?
Its been a while since I installed our Eccbee 3, however do you have the Ecobee connected to your wifi?
You should be able to connect the Eccbee to wifi and access it via their website. This should be accomplished before even looking at the hub.
I do. I am able to control it remotely, I can even see the IP address and the connection is strong.
We have been using the Ecobee with Alexa controlling it previously. I just started with the hubitat and am able to find other devices and set them up. Just having issues with the Ecobee so far.
What network equipment are you using (E.G. router make model), any special firewall settings?
I'm using a Unifi USG with basically default rules. There are no restrictions on the traffic management.
This issue is at the ecobee end. Do you have 2-factor authentication setup? If not, do so - I think it will resolve the issue.
My Ecobee 4 has been having a hard time staying connected to ecobee.com the last few days. I suspect they are once again having issues.
No issues here, 3 thermostats and a bunch of room sensors. But it's always good to confirm if there are problems with their cloud: https://status.ecobee.com/
They are pretty good at updating their status page.
I did have 2FA on and then turned it off to test. Still no change. I have turned it back on and no change. Still not finding my thermostat.
When you turned multi-factor authentication off, did you reset your ecobee password? Basically, you need to leave it off. If it was turned on, you'll also need to reset your password after turning it off.
