Hello everyone!
Could someone look at my screenshots on how I setup Whisper on an Alexa Echo device and advise me what I did wrong or missed?
FYI I did test play a sound on motion and that works.
Thank you.

I found no reply very strange. It feels like I forgot to push Publish or something. Does anyone see this? Thank you.
Yup. It’s posted. You could also try posting in the Echo Speaks thread instead.
I have had issues trying to get whisper working in the past (never got it to work yet…) so following this thread in case there »s a solution that I missed.
Thank you.
Hello Sebastien. As promised here are the steps to get Alexa whisper something prerecorded. It is not the Alexa whisper voice but works perfectly for me. My goal was that if at night someone trigger an outside sensor, Alexa whisper at me pssssssssst Andre. Wake up. you have an intruder in the back of the house. I like it because I have 4 outside sensors and for messages whispering to me in the bedroom where the suspect is. it is not echo speak. It is not perfect but this way I got Alexa to play any MP3 I make without announcing the title. This solution depends on a $2 per month subscription with My Pod App but to me, it is worth it. It is easy to setup and use and no programming need.
1 create and save a custom MP3 in your google drive.
2 Copy the share link of that MP3 to the clipboard
3 Signup with mypodapp
4 Go to settings and turn on DONT READ TITLE BEFORE PLAYING
5 Inside MyPodApp create a playlist. I called mine ALEXA
6 Click on add link to playlist.
7 Give it a name like INTRUDER FRONT and paste the google drive link
8 Create an Alexa routine under action select custom and type Ask my pod to play INTRUDER FRONT.
Done. Any questions let me know I will do my best to help.
See screenshot attached
Thanks!
