Just a heads up for anyone in the UK who uses or needs the Z-Wave Fibaro Smart Implant. These are usually £37 on Vesternet or Amazon but there's a seller on eBay currently selling brand new for £25 ( or as low as £21 if you buy 4) which is a major bargain.
I've used a few of these in my setup and they're very versatile - 2 inputs and 2 outputs which are linked (or can be separated if using the driver by @christi999)
I'm adding them inside my alarm systems PIRs so that the alarm works as normal but I can use the Z Wave input to trigger Room Lighting without the need for additional devices clogged on the walls/ceiling. I've been using Alarm > MQTT > Node-Red > Hubitat but there's a short (noticeable) delay that these remove.
Happy to hear you've had good experience with these. Personally, I hate them.
Not sure if it was a different version, but I found the reliability to be rock.... Bottom. Absolutely loath them.
Too expensive to risk experimenting with any more. Mine were completely replaced by wifi//konnected//nodemcu's.
As always, ymmv
I’ve had one monitoring full set/part set status on my alarm while also turning it on /off automatically for a couple of years. In the early days a few times it didn’t turn on during my ‘Goodnight’ rule but that could’ve been the rule or mesh gremlins. Another operates my TV bed lift. So I’ve had no issues really; in fact they’re one of the easier Fibaro products to deal with as they can be included easily without security whereas most need to be done with a stick and software
I didn't have good luck with temperature measurement. Can always blame the cheap-a$$ sensors I bought.
