Eaton Z-Wave Plus Receptacle

I just purchased an Eaton ZWave Plus Outlet (Model RFTR9605) from Lowes today as I needed a switched outlet in the corner of my living room.

It paired just fine and indentified itself as a Zooz Q Sensor ZSE11. I changed it to the Generic ZWave Plus Outlet and then clicked configure. It also paired securely. It seems to work fine except it does not report the on or off commands unless I click the refresh button on the device details page.

The clusters show that it should be a Plus device:

I see support has been added for some other Eaton devices but I don't seem to find anything for the outlet device.

@bcopeland, did you ever test one of these devices. I thought I saw a post of yours where you had obtained some Eaton devices.

Any help is appreciated.

I don't have one of these devices .. Try using the Generic Z-Wave Outlet instead of the Generic Z-Wave Plus Outlet driver

I have all Eaton 96XX devices. The Generic Z-wave Outlet works just fine.

That did the trick. I never thought the non-plus generic driver would work. Thank you.

Does using the Eaton Outlet without the "Generic Z-Wave Plus" driver prevent it from utilizing the Z-Wave Plus technology?

Sorry to dig up an old thread.

Does the Eaton outlet report power with the generic driver?

Does this device support power reporting? The z-wavealliance page isn't very clear on that.

While it supports the PowerLevel command class, it doesn't support the Meter command class, and isn't classified as an energy meter.

That doesnโ€™t seem very promising.

No mention of power metering mentioned in the spec sheet either:
