Easier Purge Logs Method?

Since I have been doing some small development with hubitat, I find myself wanting to purge the past logs more often than not. So, backup, soft reset, purge logs, restore. It takes at least 10 minutes each time to go through that process.

A secret endpoint?
A hidden button?

Surely there is an easier/faster way to purge past logs than a soft reset??

Out of curiosity, what is the reason for needing/wanting to purge past logs?

Couple reasons... primarily because I'm OCD... but...

  1. If I change an app name during dev, I have the old version still in history (OCD)
  2. Testing devices; try it and decide not to keep it; old logs (OCD)
  3. If I'm developing; and log everything (and I do mean everything); I'd like to clean house (OCD)

This one has come up on numerous occasions. Users opinions usually fall into two camps:

1 - "What does it matter, they age out eventually"

and

2 - "Are you serious, rule and device names have been changed, logging has been turned off for some rules, the headings cover the entire beeping page, it's a mess and I can't sleep at night"

I fall into the latter group....
