I’ve got the Leviton DZ6HD dimmers. They’ve all got the FW version 1.2 and they work great. One feature I’d love to have is double tap up/down to go to maximum/minimum brightness. I just came across this:
This is specifically for their WiFi version of the dimmer which I intentionally avoided in favor of z-wave plus. What I’m wondering is this: Does anyone know if Leviton is going to release updated firmware for the z-wave dimmer? OR is there some programming guru who could look at the WiFi firmware and change the z-wave firmware to support double tap? I’m hoping it’s just a matter of time… and that it wouldn’t require buying all new dimmers (there are 50+). I’ve got the z-wave firmware updater driver and it’s great - just need the hex file!
I’ve heard double tap won’t work for z-wave devices because of the nature of the mesh. BUT I think GE/Jasco has a z-wave dimmer that supports double tap. So one can hope…
Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this…
