blue light is ON for 20 sec, then 5 sec no light, then 20sec blue and etc.
no access to previously known IPs aka diagnostics 8081.
anything else i can do?
(jsut bought it yesterday. connected to ethernet. then added my wifi network. device recommended disabling ethernet connection at this point. I did that, it was saying it its on my wifi with IP from wifi range. i siconnected ethernet cable and instantly lost access to network interfaces. restarted device and get blue light. i have UDM SE router and home iot wifi networks with 2.4 only. )
may be unrelated but weird issue with my unit was that QR code instructions were offering me to setup device with WIFI right away but temporary hubitat wifi network was never present after multiple attempts so i had to go with ethernet route
Reconnect your Ethernet cable to the hub and do a network reset. The hub will reboot and connect via Ethernet. That is the recommended network connection. Don't enable Wi-Fi while using Ethernet.
Network Reset
If you are accidentally blocked from accessing your hub (e.g., due to a misconfigured static IP address) or want to revert hub network settings to default for any reason:
- Turn the hub over and locate the recessed round button just beneath the surface of the case (pictured below).
- Hub reset button, located on bottom of hub models C-5 and later
- Use the point of a pen (or other small, blunt object) to press and hold this button for at least 7 seconds.
- When the LED on the front of the hub blinks, release the button. The hub will begin rebooting and turn blue after a few seconds. After a few minutes, the LED should return to green, at which point the hub has finished rebooting and should again be accessible.
thanks for reply! i did try that multiple times before reaching out here but router does nto react to reset button, no button changes. i tired holding it 6 - 10 - 20 seconds, noting.. continues with its blue light
Looks like you may need to enter a warranty case...

You need to hold the reset button on the HUB, for 7 seconds, then let go. LED will flash and hub reboots.
