Looking for a driver for the Tuya Soil Tester Sensor.
I've successfully added the Zigbee version of the sensor to the Hubitat and device info shows:
Manufacturer: _TZE284_33bwcga2
Model: TS0601
Has anyone had experience with this and perhaps written a driver?
I read in other posts that (@kkossev) that the model number TS0601 is reported in many of the Tuya devices, so generally not that helpful.
Ultimately I'm looking to check the soil moisture content once per day and if it falls below a certain value (need to work out what that value should be), switch on a small/micro water pump and water the plant.
As an interim solution, was wondering if there is a way to use the Tuya SmartLife app to talk to the sensor via the Hubitat, but that seems to more challenging, as would need to talk to the Tuya cloud.
I just got a couple of these delivered and this driver works to report humidity and temp. $7.24 each on Ali Express right now.

Edit: I found the built-in Third Reality Moisture Sensor driver works better with these for both humidity and temperature. Third Reality driver has fewer preferences for reporting and what not, but it just seems to work.
Summary
I'm using Model Group TS0201_TH, the same as I use for my MOES Temp Humidity sensors with this driver.
Hey Chris, Just grabbed 4 of these for like 20 bucks. Is yours being reliable and staying connected?
And I tried the same thing, got errors in my log, can you check your log for errors? dev:23812026-02-21 11:47:05.147 AM
error
java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "Celsius" on line 1512 (method parse)
EDIT- It seems the humidity reporting is low, compared to a known good sensor and another probe type sensor, plus I just watered the plant 2 days ago. What are you seeing?
Thanks
Nope, I forgot about that post. I thought it was working, but then I couldn't find any option that would work.
The good news is that I found the Built-in Third Reality Soil Moisture Sensor driver works well with it.
Just load the default device driver and clear everything out first, then switch to the Third Reality Driver.
The humidity goes to 100% when I water the plants, and a potted plant appears to need water at around 65% with these sensors. Temperature also reports correctly.
