Driver for SCHLAGE EASE™ S2 SMART LEVER LOCK GR9

Has anyone had any experience trying to directly integrate the SCHLAGE EASE™ S2 SMART LEVER LOCK GR9 into HE? Schlage EASE

It's a Bluetooth lock connected to a SCHLAGE ABODE™ WI-FI BRIDGE that can be controlled from a Schlage App on your phone or from Alexa.

I do have 2 of these locks working via the bridge from Alexa to HE using simple Alexa routines changing virtual switches when the locks change status which I then use in Sharptools to display the lock status on my dashboard.

The status changes from locked to unlocked from Alexa is not reliable and only shows the correct status 75% of the time and would be far better if there was a direct integration which unfortunately is far from my abilities.

Would anyone out there happen to be working on this?

There is no open API for this that I'm aware of so trying to write for it would be difficult even if you could reverse engineer it. It's also cloud based, so not an idea device for most of us, especially for security., What happens when they're servers are having an issue? Control is dead in the water. Then the lock itself is bluetooth so there is limited range. JMO though. YMMV.

Thanks Rick for your reply. No worries I was more interested in the status being more accurate for my dashboard rather than control. I will persevere with status via Alexa and see if I can make any improvements.

There are z-wave and zigbee lever locks available if you contemplate switching sometime.
