Wife bought a HumHold ceiling fan which is controlled by Tuya App.
I bought C8 pro just because it had support for Tuya integration. But it does not support fan controls.
Spent all day trying to get user drivers working that would control the Humhold (locally) with no success.
Have I missed a working solution? Might the built in app support fan controls at some point?
Per the 2.4.4.129 release notes, only switches, multi-plugs, dimmers, CT, and RGBW lights are supported at this time.
Gopher has indicated that he plans to eventually expand the Tuya integration to more device types, but I don't recall any seeing specific commitment around fans.
If that fan is compatible with Bond or a Broadlink RM-series, that may be one way to bring it in. Or I'm guessing Home Assistant could handle it, so that could be another option for bringing it over.
I realize either option would require additional hardware, but attempting to integrate (wifi) Tuya is rarely straightforward or easy.

I've tried several user drivers that required Tuya Cloud account, local_key, etc. I can connect, but, according to AI they use a 1.4 protocol and none of the user drivers I've found work with that.
I could never get a Tuya integration to work, so I configured the fan/light to work with Tuya mobile app.
My wife insists on having a wall switch to turn the light on and off "like a normal human". Of course, when power is off to the fixture, Alexa commands (nor the app) can work.
The wall switch is Zwave and Hubitat (and echo skill) enabled. I can disable physical control of the wall switch so power is always on. Or..
I can turn the wall switch on/off -- dummy mode except no fan control.
I wanted the integration so a rule could first turn on the wall switch then issue whatever Humhold wifi commands were required to turn fan on and off.
The light in the fan can be configured to always come on when power is restored--so that works fine. But we're still left with having to use the app or remote to turn fan on and off.
Is there another way to skin the cat short of hacking the fan (or buying a new on) to get zigbee or zwave control?
