Does anyone have experience with a comparison between a REOLINK Doorbell Camera - Wired/WiFi or POE and a eufy Security Video Doorbell E340, either battery or wired? I'm looking for response time to get a notification and response time to view video. I would get a 256 SD card for the Reolink or a Homebase for the eufy.
I have a reolink PoE doorbell, can’t compare to the wifi version or a eufy doorbell directly. But it’s very fast. From the time I hear the chime (which is wirelessly connected to the doorbell, via a proprietary protocol afaik) to the time I get a notification on my phone, it’s probably a second or less.
I have installed a few Reolink (wifi only) and three Eufy E340's.
My clients with the Eufy ones are still upset with me!
Great camera, and the 2 shot view is great. However, they complain that they can't speak with the person at the door! They talk and the person doesn't hear them, or vice versa.
Never had that issue with the Reolink's. They are incredibly fast - even on wifi.
@daniellecio I've had a Ring V3 (hated it) Eufy dual (loved the concept) and now a Reolink POE...
Ring v3: Slow... Not a great pic
Eufy Dual: Slow, Great pic but by the time I opened the app the person that set off the doorbell was already back in their vehicle or gone. Very frustrating.
Reolink POE: Fast! Great Picture. Have not had any issues. Also integrates into my Camect so can utilize the Camect's great AI.... By far the best video doorbell I've owned.
Is that specific to Homekit by any chance? I have some of the Eufy internal 2K cameras and they don't work well with Homekit. They must be added to the Eufy app first for Homekit, 2K becomes 1080P, Human detection doesn't work and neither does 2 way audio. I got in touch with Eufy support but they weren't helpful.
They were using the Eufy app on iPhone.
I put in 2 video doorbells and 4 exterior cameras (Eufy with Homebase). The exterior solar powered cameras were great, but the video doorbells were not).
My vote is for Reolink.
I've been trying to get someone to go up in my attic to run a Cat 6 cable to my garage so I can put a hub and access point in there for around 4 months and no one has had time. If I get someone to go up within a month I'll probably return the WiFi and get the POE.
I'm in FL so the chases are all hot & cold with central heating and air. A cabling company wanted $250. They were out of their minds. An electrician wanted $300 and it would take him 3 months to get me on his schedule.
My handyman said she'd do it the next time she's here. But that's going to be in about a month. She'll run cable but won't do any electrical beyond running cable. I have to land all the cable on outlets/switches/etc and attach to the breakers.
