I switched to Hubitat from SmartThings and am trying to control the locks by voice like I used to do. I go to the Home app, add device, search for Hubitat, I log in, it shows my hub and all my lights devices etc. I pick the door locks, hit add, and it goes back to the add devices screen and nothing happens. When I view my devices it didn't add them, and if I try again to add devices, Hubitat doesn't show up as one of my currently set up services?
Edit: If I pick a RadioRA2 light then it does work, but the door locks are not adding to Google Home for some reason. I don't want to use lights as the RA2 bridge does voice control for that, I'm just wanting door locks with Google Home.
Locks are not supported by the HE/Google integration at this time. Only switches, bulbs, dimmers and thermostats. If you want to control a lock, you would have to use a virtual switch or one of the other Google integrations as a "middle man", such as IFTTT.
If you're curious in the future about whether a device is being added to google home, open your log in a separate window, as the Google app is saving the devices, you'll see a message like this:
And when you go back to the Google Home app in HE, you'll see that the device in question no longer has a check-mark next to it. That's a good sign that it's not a supported device.
I have a Schlage Zwave door lock. I set up a virtual switch called Door Lock. Then 2 basic rules. One when the Door Lock is turned on it will lock the door and the other when the lock is turned off it unlocks the door, Then in Google Home reconnect the Hubitat account and choose the Door Lock. You have to tell Google to turn on or off Door Lock instead of lock/unlock door. You can ask Google if the Door Lock is on. Everything works inside Hubitat.
