Anyone have experience with these? Are they both compatible with Hubitat ?

Other than zigbee vs z-wave, any pros/cons?

Thanks in advace!

I owned one back in my smartthings days. They're very large. If you look at the illustration photos, you can see that. It's not blown up. I did a review on it. I'll see if i can locate it.
They are tricky to get right, but once you get them to trigger correctly, they work fine. I only used them on smartthings and never reconnected it to my hubitat, so I can't tell you if the generic driver will work, but smartthigns has one that can be ported if you decide to get it. It tends to sit rather loosely on the hinge pin and adjusting it was a bear to get it to trip when open and close becuase you can set the position. so the door can be in any position (half way, wide open, closed) before it trips according to where you set the device. I wouldn't buy one again. But it worked on a basement door we had that you couldn't see the pin unless you were in the laundry room. It's the size of a small elephant. I attached my amazon review.

I have one of the NYCE hinge sensors ... generally speaking it works well and is very under-the-radar, classy even. The radio in it doesn't seem super strong, so potentially a mesh review could be in order depending on the location. Battery life is excellent.

I would buy again - but know your installation site intimately to be sure it's the appropriate device. The mechanical actuation of the switch has a pretty small action. The particular door where I use it is apparently slightly warped, so even with the longest grub screw (they supply a few options) occasionally it fails to actuate ... not the device's fault, just something to be aware of.

I have two of those GE.

They are fiddly to get flipped for left vs right hinged doors. They are large. I don't like the mounting system, they seem very floppy, and the hinge pin works its way out on a regular basis. There is nothing to lock the hinge pin in place, and they don't supply a longer pin that has serrations (knurling) in a place where it would hold the pin in the hinge.

I am much happier with an inexpensive window and door sensor (contact sensor), albeit they are uglier.

They do work, and once set up they are OK, but not great. I would not buy another one.
