I’m confused. The C-8 Pro has been around for two years and all of a sudden supports Bluetooth devices?
Has the C-8 Pro always had a Bluetooth radio just lying there waiting to be awoken by a software update?
I must be missing something?

Yes.
Wow, awesome!
Curious why the two year delay enabling BT, competing development priorities or something else?
How do I confirm that HE will be able to control my existing BT devices?
The BTHome site says, "It is not the goal to offer a way for devices to share control."
The C-8 Pro hub has a built-in Bluetooth radio that was previously not enabled. With the latest platform update, this radio has now been activated.
The new update lays the groundwork for Bluetooth functionality expansion with future updates. At this time, the Bluetooth radio is primarily used for hub onboarding and for connecting BTHome v2 devices directly to the hub.
We’ve successfully tested compatibility with several Shelly Bluetooth devices, and additional drivers are already in development. These future drivers will significantly expand support beyond BTHome v2, allowing for broader Bluetooth device integration over time.
Stay tuned — this is just the first step in bringing expanded local Bluetooth support to the C-8 Pro hubs.
