Does anyone ever add a device and then just never setup an automation?

I too stole @april.brandt quiet time idea but use tasker also to detect when 1 or both phones are plugged in. Has been working great so far!

Every Hampton Bay ceiling fan controller in my home has an accompanying ZigBee outlet (Centralite) in the same room (the controllers work best with a repeater because their signal is weak) and I have never used them for an automation.
