Documention Links don't work

I am trying to set up a new Hubitat system with Lutron integration. when I go to the Apps section and click on the Lutron integrator it links to a page that says
" We're moving! Please visit http://docs2.hubitat.com for the
latest documentation.
This document is available at: Lutron Integrator | Hubitat Documentation"

yet neither of these links work. I have looked through the forums and many places folks post have you read the documentation with links but none of them work
any idea what is going on with the documentation links or other places to down load it.
also why does hubitat have page links pointing to the pages that say that they are moving instead of just having the correct working links in the first place???
Thanks

This link works fine for me...

Maybe try clearing your browser cache? Just a guess.

This site can’t be reached

docs2.hubitat.com took too long to respond.

Try:

ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

Tagging @bertabcd1234 , as he supports the new documentation system.

Thanks. i have had the same issue on several computers so doubt that it is a cache issue with one browser but will try it anyway.

What hub platform version are you running? These should all be updated as of platform 2.3.3. If not, it's possible something was missed somewhere, but I'm not able to replicate your findings in the Lutron Integrator parent or child apps. If you're running old hub software, that would do it.

As for the actual issue with the site: this is loading correctly for me, but I've seen one other report of the same. I don't see any outages reported by the hosting service, so I'm not sure what's going on, but I'll bring this example up as well.

Both those links work fine for me as well.

Make sure that your browser isn't using some plugin that tries to force https connections, or that you don't have a firewall rule that tries to force https. The new documentation site doesn't currently use SSL, so the links are http links.

If I try to force these to be https, I can get the same error that you saw (with Chrome/Mac). Safari errors with the message it cannot establish a secure connection.

Forgot to mention that, but yeah, HTTPS is not yet available, so if your browser automatically redirects to that, it won't work. I don't see any evidence for that in the screenshot above (just HTTP), but still worth noting.

The instance is being restarted now, which might help (unless you do it probably right now as it's restarting, ha).

I'm experiencing the same issue as we speak using Safari and Chrome. Trying to register a new hub, keeps taking me back to 'Register Hub' link instead of log in page. Tried to go to documentation to see what I'm doing wrong and can't get there. @bertabcd1234

Update: after some additional work, the site should be back up again.

Nope - still down hard - "docs2" is "pining for the fjords"

There was also a DNS change as part of this that might take some more time to propagate...if not, I'll check back again.

Down for me too. Hopefully it will be up soon, maybe it will take time to propagate? (load balancer?)

Ah, DNS... could take an hour these days, depending on your hosting.
So, what's the raw IP address?

Was finally able to get new hub registered, but still no joy on documentation link.

Found it using a bunch of DNS servers until one answered:
54.144.128.85
(that didn't work for me...)
But this did:
http://ec2-18-224-179-71.us-east-2.compute.amazonaws.com

The only answer I found looking at all the servers on The Best Free and Public DNS Servers (October 2022) came from:

$ nslookup docs2.hubitat.com 76.76.19.19
Server: 76.76.19.19
Address:	76.76.19.19#53

Non-authoritative answer:
docs2.hubitat.com	canonical name = http://ec2-18-224-179-71.us-east-2.compute.amazonaws.com.
Name:	htTP://ec2-18-224-179-71.us-east-2.compute.amazonaws.com
Address: 54.144.128.85

Finally working for me now with the correct link...

Docs2 is working for me again (TTL was 30 minutes, so it shouldn't take days  ... though it's possible someone's computer may still be hanging on to something). Please use the docs2.hubitat.com links instead of the AWS or direct IP links, as there is no guarantee the others will remain as-is.

Works great, and quite snappy response, too! Thanks

I thought it was weird to have to accept the SSL cert, but I guess its still a work in progress. Thanks for the clarification.
