Using something like Portainer to install/manage Docker containers "can" make it easier for some. Still need to know the fundamentals though - like volumes/persistent storage.
(The second link also walks through Docker install. It is Ubuntu specific, but may apply to the rpi - not sure as I've never used dietpi)
