Do smart compatible vibrating alarms exist? (that vibrate, not detect vibrations)

I have an alarm that wakes me up with vibration every morning. Unfortunately the alarm functionality is limited to on/off, which means I have to set a new alarm every night depending on what time I want to wake up the next morning.

Would be great to be able to use HE to set my alarm so that I can get a bit more in depth with my alarm routines and triggers.

So basically I'm looking for a z-wave or zigbee (or maybe even wifi) compatible product that vibrates on command.

Unless you wear it how you wake up with vibrations? It's a heck of a vibration

It's a wristwatch that sits on my bedside table. The sound of the vibration wakes me up but doesn't wake up my wife, since I have to wake up much earlier than her.

(Or I'll wear the watch if I decide to wear earplugs, for example sleeping after night shifts.)

You have a very light sleep.

Anyway if it a wristwatch (If wearos) I think you can do it with IFTT

Unfortunately it's not a smart watch, just a cheap Timex. I guess if if I upgrade to a real smart watch down the line I can try IFTT. Good idea!

My father is near deaf and has used bed vibration alarms in the past. Now he just uses my mom smacking him when the alarm goes off.

There are many options for bed vibration alarms. Though not many integrated smart options.

I found this that syncs with iphones:

Would you be looking for HE to only trigger the alarm? Or you’d manually set the alarm; and then HE would receive data when it went off?

I suppose you could use a Philio/Z-Wave multi-inline Switch with either a 12v or 24v PSU. Then; you could trigger a relay to open a motor. This switch also has a manual on/off button; so you could turn it off once you’re up, and use that as a trigger. This would be a pretty hands-on approach.

helene7t7, thanks for the suggestion. I use an Android but I'll look for something similar that syncs to other phones.

adam, I would be looking for HE to trigger the alarm. For example I could set different wake up times for weekday/weekend and then use my presence sensor for arming/disarming.

The multi-line switch is an interesting idea, I'll look into that some more. Thanks!
