omfg, I HAVEN'T CHANGED ANYTHING, CAN YOU UNDERSTAND THIS? The only reason while my rule was opened was BECAUSE MY LIGHTS REMAINED ON WHICH MEANS THE RULE HASN'T TRIGGERED and I was trying to see wtf is going on.My "focus" switch as already OFF prior to opening the rule WHICH SHOULD HAVE NOT MAKE THE REQUIRED EXPRESSION FALSE.. How hard is it for you to understand this ? There are not logs to provide BECAUSE THE RULE HAS NEVER TRIGGERED BECAUSE OF THAT FALSE READING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Impossible to tell from the evidence you have presented so far. "
What evidence? what more could I possible post other than the rule being read wrong after my automation didin't work as expected?
"Not clear how you got the rule's required expression evaluation to be out of sync with the switch state"
Well, that's the riddle, If someone would knew the bug would't have happened .
"Update reinitializes the rule so it re-evaluated the state of the required expression even though there was no switch event to trigger that evaluation."
Why do I need to press the update to put the rule back on track, there are called automations for a reason not manualations ,you're suppose to make the rule once and forget about it.This is just a lousy temp fix, nothing else.
" You can check the rule's event subscriptions to make sure they are correct by clicking the circled-i icon."
There is nothing to check, the expression was read as FALSE so the rule never triggered.
My hubs updated many hours before this bug happened. At the time of update focus switch was ON which makes my lights remain on, I told alexa hours after updates to turn off focus, she did then my lights remained opened when they shouldn't have.
My initial thought was that focus switch which originates from the mesh hub was out of sync and that's why my rule didin't trigger, upon manual inspections I was shocked to realize the switch was indeed in sync and set correctly on both hubs YET the expression was falsely reading as false.

I’m surprised anyone would waste effort on this given your hostile condescending approach.
