I have a IM6001-WLP01 Water Leak Sensor Zigbee
It has been working well. Today, it stared spamming my network with temperature readings. I did not change anything and have not interacted with it in many weeks. Thoughts?
Couple thoughts.
When a device starts acting weird out of the blue, I usually try swapping out the batteries, since that’s an easy fix (even though the device seems to think its battery level is fine, based on your screenshot).
If the device has a preference to decrease the temperature reporting sensitivity, I’d try that too. It’s ridiculous that smart home devices like this would even try to report temperature to 1/100 of a degree, since the relatively inexpensive sensors in them generally have a margin of error of 1-2 degrees Fahrenheit.
I had this happen with a SmartThings acceleration sensor when the battery was low and changed. Clicking configure on the device fixed the issue.
I had/have few of these original made by Smart Things. One by one they are quiting. First bad symptom before dying- fresh battery drains within 2-3 months and a lot of temp reporting.
