I added a zooz zwave dimmer to HE a few weeks ago and was able to add it to Google Home as a dimmer. Worked great.
Added a new dimmer today, shows up great in hubitat. When I added it to Google Home, it shows up as a switch, no dimming capabilities. I've tried removing the home app in hubitat, and unlinking in Google Home. Nothing I've tried allows me to get them to show up as dimmers. I even tried naming them dimmers, hoping that would cause Google Home to recognize it as a dimmer. Mostly wondering if anyone else has seen this. Google Home voice commands is the primary way we control the lights, so not being able to set the level in Google Home is a significant problem. Thanks for any assistance.
If I switch the driver to generic z-wave dimmer it works. However HE looses some minor features available with the more specific driver. I may just leave it at “generic zwave dimmer” driver so google home can control as dimmer. I’ll see about filing a defect with the GR Enbrighten Zwave smart dimmer driver.
I have the same issue. Device type in Hubitat Google Home app integration is Switch and Google Home sees it as Switch. The Google Home app eventually gave me brightness controls (happend by itself) but the type is still switch so some features like voice commands to change brightness don't work (they work in the UI). A little strange.
