Dimmer switch vary by time question

@Ryan780 ok, the switch does what I want it to do. Any reason to update what ain’t broke.

If you want it to do what you originally asked, then ask. But if you're fine with the original full brightness, then no. But you can do that with any dimmer.

Totally agree with what Ryan just said. If it isn't broke or unless the new firmware has a feature you just can't live without, don't fix it. 2.01 should do what you want it to do.

Actually, with FW 2.01 and above, yes you can. I am using double tap on the Off button to toggle my KOF-Fan On/Off and using Double Tap for the On button to toggle the KOF-Light. See log below:

Or... maybe I am misunderstanding something? Like that's never happened before

Actually, 3.0 is for the ZEN21-ZEN24 models while the ZEN27 is still at 2.0. Scene control was introduced with 2.0 but only for 2 triggers, and then fully introduced with 2.01 where you could use a single tap for both direct on/off control as well as for enabling a scene.

@agnes.zooz. Here is a copy from my Zen27 from Hubitat

  • deviceType: 40960
  • inClusters: 0x5E,0x26,0x85,0x8E,0x59,0x55,0x86,0x72,0x5A,0x73,0x70,0x5B,0x9F,0x6C,0x7A
  • firmwareVersion: 2.1
  • deviceId: 40962
  • manufacturer: 634

So it is reporting as 2.1

That's the latest mass production firmware. We have OTA files available for 2.02 and 2.03 (see change log for added features here) so if you wanted to upgrade, get in touch with us including your order number to receive the firmware file.

I think 2.1 is equivalent to 2.01
