What is the difference between the HomeKit Bridge app vs the Homebridge V2 app? They both seem to do the same which is to make your Hubitat devices appear in Apple Home, the first one directly and the second one through Homebridge?
Correct. But that's a big difference between the two..
The built-in app doesn't require the use of an additional computer that can run Homebridge. OTOH, Homebridge V2 requires the use an additional computer that runs Homebridge.

Thanks for the confirmation! So then with the built-in app, there is no real need for Homebridge V2, right?
Correct.
With both integrations, you will need an Apple Home hub if there is a need to control devices using the Home app when one is not on the local LAN.
