I have a C7 running 2.4.0.151. I recently upgraded to win11, and can't login to the diagnostic tool. The login button is always greyed out--as if I haven't entered enough login data, after copying the mac address from settings. I tried going back to my win10 pc, and was able to login with my mac addess, and request an upgrade to 2.4.1.157(?), but it failed when I selected it after download, and now I can no longer get the login button on win10 or win11. I've tried chrome and edge, and clearing cache, but no luck. Any ideas? Thanks.
I noticed that the other day, but thought it was temporary. Just tried again and same thing. C8.
What I imagine is occurring is the MAC address you're entering isn't valid. The dimmed button is what I'd expect if nothing was entered, and it stays that way til a valid MAC is entered.
Empty.
Invalid
A valid MAC has been entered.
I have entered the correct Mac. Both with and without the colons. Tried several times.
Just tried again, copy from hub info, no luck, entered manually, no luck. With and without colons. So unless the hub details are wrong, that isn’t the problem.
Edit: tried both my C8 and my C5. Tried Chrome and Safari. Nothing works.
The diagnostic tool will only accept the hub’s Ethernet MAC address, which is printed on the bottom of the hub (the WiFi MAC address won’t work), and colons must be entered in between the pairs of digits.
Can you confirm you did those two things?
If you copy the MAC from the Hub Details page, or even when you type it in, you may be getting a space at the front-end of the MAC address...like below. Valid MAC, copied from Hub Details, but invalidated by almost impossible to see space before the first character in the MAC.
Correct MAC, but with space in front, log in button disabled:
Space removed, log in button now enabled:
Also, as of a change a while back, you don't have to include the colons, works with or without them, and caps/no caps don't matter.
Diagnostic tool version:
I had this problem when I tried to update C8 Pro to 2.4.1.151 platform. This update was a disaster and I had to roll back to a previous platform 2.4.0.151 (was stable). But I was not able to login into Diagnostic Tool because had Login button grayed no matter what I tried. The "fix" was nothing more than gazillions of attempts. Thanks God, finally login was saucerful. And Thanks God again, this was a single case. After that everything looked/looks as it should and login to the Diagnostic Tools happens on a firs try as it should.
Got bit by that exact scenario myself yesterday. Corrected my paste & good to go.
