I am very new to Hubitat. I was able to add one device (Outlet), which works. However, I want to do more.
So here is where I want to go for starters:
Which Smart Light Bulbs will work with Hubitat Hub? I see Philips Hue, but I am not sure if I need to get a Hub for it to make it work for Hubitat. Also, which Smart Lights Bulbs are good, and will work? (and maybe ones which don't require an extra Hub (and which might be available in stores, like Home Depot, Lowe's, Best Buy). Maybe if I can get also the model number, if that is not too much to ask.
Which Mini Plug-in Smart Switch works with Hubitat?
I bought an Enbrighten one today, but it might not work, since it might only work with the App, and Wifi. So I will need to return it probably to Lowe's. The model number is 51512-3
Which one should I then buy, to make it work for Hubitat?
I prefer either a mini one, or a dual-one where both can be controlled, or one always on, and the other one can be remote controlled. Maybe also one with USB?
Which Light Switches will work with Hubitat?
I want to have a single switch (single pole), It would control a light and a fan (currently, it is the same switch, and then on the fixture are pull cords for Fan and Light). I am not sure if a dimmer would even work for that, since the switch also controls the fan.
I also want to have a Light Switch, which has two switches in the same box (the plate cover is a single cover, with holes for both switches). The switches control:
Set 1: Outside Light, and basement light
For this, I would like to maybe have a remote, for the downstairs (to the basement). That way we can control the basement light from the top, and the basement.
So the switch on the top, and then a remote switch downstairs.
Set 2: Front door Porch Light, and Front Inside Light
Maybe for the Backyard light (Set 1), and Front Door Porch Light (Set 2), I wouldn't mind just using motion-controlled lights. (The ones I see are too sensitive, as they work with radar, and you can't set a radius for them). So I wouldn't do those. I don't want them to turn on, when you just walk on the other side of the wall. That is how sensitive they are.
If it is possible to provide me a few options, or good quality devices, and either links to Amazon, or Model Numbers.
I also have Google Home and Alexa connected via the Hubitat Apps connected to the Hubitat, and that works great.

For bulbs vs. switches...I typically only use bulbs if I need color/color temperature control, or if I'm controlling a light from a lamp/fixture that doesn't have an easy way to control the fixture from a Zigbee or Z-Wave plug. Otherwise I use regular LEDs connected to one smart switch. Much less expensive, and you won't end up w/a problem if someone in the house turns off your switch connected to the smart bulbs, and then you can't control them any more.
Switch, unless you want a smart bulb to have any holiday-related lighting.
Inovelli and Zooz, I believe, also have switches that have "normal" and "bulb" modes which allow you the best of both worlds - you can set the switch to control power normally (turn bulb on/off), or always leave power on and control a smart bulb in the fixture via HE, which provides access to color/color temp.
Philips Hue are the state of art bulbs, but expensive. If affordable to you, go ahead, they're excellent. In this case I would suggest to connect the bulbs through a Philips Hue Hub, once that bulbs tend to mess the zigbee mesh. You may use the Hue Hub with other bulbs too, I use one as a bridge to connect 14 Gledopto Pro bulbs to my Hubitat. The Gledopto Pro are cheap and so bright as - or more! - than the Philips Hue.
The light switches I would recommend the Zemistmart Zigbee Switches - with or without neutral, both work very well. You'll find it with 1 to 6 gang, touch or physical buttons.
Sonoff Mini Zigbee are a good and equaly cheap option of mini switches.
