I am using a custom code device driver for a switch. When I create a new dashboard it shows up as a button. I can change it to a switch in the dashboard no problem, but I want it to default to a switch. What am I missing in the driver code to control that default??
When you add a single device to dashboard it doesn't have a default. You have to assign it manually. It only does the automatic picking when you first fill the dashboard.
That’s what I’m referring to — the defaulting when the dashboard is creating.
Does the device have both the button and switch capabilities?
