So when I change the configuration values on the device page, when does the battery powered device actually get updated with the new settings? Is it the next time the device communicates with the Hub?
I have an Aeotec TriSensor (motion sensor) that I changed the sensitivity setting on the device page. Will the configuration be updated on the device the next time the sensor detects motion and communicated with the hub? The sensor is installed in a hard to reach location, so I'm hoping I don't have to pull the battery for it to update.
Most battery operated device sleep so Hubitat can't send the commands to the device until the next time it wakes up which is usually every 12 hours.
If you don't want to wait for the device to wake up on its own you can manually wake it up. The device's manual might have manual wake up instructions, but some of the built-in dedicated z-wave drivers write the instructions to logging when you click Save.
