Device Activity Check Working?

On c-8 ;
version 2.3.9.164

I have tried to load the Device Activity Check App, [RELEASE] Device Activity Check - Get notifications for "inactive" devices in packaga manager and the only app that comes up when seaching for "Device Activity Check" is that one. Then package manager is unresponsive. The app is already selected but it will not advance to next screen?

Has anyone seen this (or can duplicate it?)

Post a screenshot. Sounds like some sort of UI confusion.

If package is installed already you get a check next to it and you cannot click it (top). Is that what is going on? Bottom in my example is not installed, clicking it goes to the next page.

@csteele I can see how this could be confusing, possible improvement area for a future version. Its not super obvious the package is installed already.

** Installing a package in HPM DOES NOT install it to your apps list, you have to go to Apps and click the Add User App button.

I found the same thing last year and added COLOR to the images, hoping that in Hubitat's grey world, a COLOR will jump out at ya. :smiley:

I can't be certain, but I think this was the Change:

 * csteele v1.9.0 Install 'location:' can't be empty.
 * add color to download icon

Sorry I believe I determined I must have previously installed it but never used it and never added it into my apps.

Thank you!

I think the issue is if the only thing that comes up when you search is already installed that blue check is not definitively telling me it is installed. What if that means it is checked off to be installed and then I am looking for the "Install" button at the bottom?

Would it make sense instead of disabling the item from being clicked, that you could click on it and it takes you to a page saying the code is already installed with a link to the HE docs on how to install a custom app to the apps list?

That would be helpful. Although I’m not sure how many people make the same mistake I made.
