Detect Zigbee presence

I have 3 Zigbee alarm remotes, and they're keychain fobs, so they'll be traveling with the members of my household.

As such I was wondering: Is there a way I can monitor their presence. So if all three of them disappear, I can turn on HSM's 'Arm Away' should the last one leaving have forgotten?

Probably not very reliably.

Battery powered zigbee devices spend most of their time asleep, to conserve battery.

Smartthings had a zigbee presence sensor made just for this purpose, so it checked in every few minutes.

You could check the events log for one of your key fobs to try to get some idea of how often it communicates with the hub.

They sure did. And, predictably, the battery life was not very good. I had modified a couple to use AA batteries; that worked well, but obviously too large to use as a fob.

Seems you posted in the wrong topic, but pretty lights

Once every 2 hours, but for this backup purpose it would suffice...
