I purchased a C7 used from someone off of Offer Up but they did not deregister the device. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do so without logging in as them. How do I deregister the device from the old user so I can register it with me?

The previous owner will have to remove the registration.

I have a c5 that I no longer use, as I moved to Home Assistant, tried to deregister hub, but it wont deregister the hub until the subscriptions run out, which is stupid, I would say try factory resetting, but the reset button is hidden underneath, another stupid idea, among many, have fun with your new hub.
I would say you are incorrect. It’s not a reset button, in the general sense. It’s only for resetting the hub’s network settings.
Have fun with home assistant.

Maybe you can make someone happy with it by sending it to him/her.
The new user can always try to get through the process with help of the community here if needed.
Of course i dont know where you are, but at a fair price including shipping to Europe, im willing to take it of your hands and use it as a test/development hub.

Hi, I live in the UK, so it's a uk version, was going to sell to CEX for £23 + shipping, but if you want it, make me an offer, you can use the subscriptions if you want.

You can remove the subscriptions if you want. Ask @support_team to remove them from the hubs and you can then de register it.
