Since upgrading a few versions back of my C7, I get this error trying to send commands to my AVR. I am on 2.4.0.146 now.
It used to work, I reloaded the driver with no success. I can use AVR remote app on my phone just fine, so my Denon is connected and working. Just not with the C7 any longer.
Anyone else have this issue? The only past posts about all this was around 2018.
Any chance the IP address on your receiver may have changed? It needs to have a DHCP Reservation set in your router to keep it always the same...or you could set a true static IP on the receiver itself. Make sure the HE hub and Receiver are in the same subnet/LAN to avoid any possible networking issues.
I just found out the issue.
I have 2 24 port managed switches on my LAN. They are trunked via the SFP ports. One of the switches had security option on, blocking the Denon (for some reason).
Turning off this security, Denon is functioning via my C7 now. YAY!
