Deck Lighting - Looking for Suggestions

I am looking for suggestions on some good deck/path lighting that will work directly with hubitat. I found these on Amazon but they appear to be proprietary/WiFi. The style is the right idea for what I need though. They will be mounted in the steps coming down from my deck and then along a pathway to the pool.

Would really appreciate any suggestions that are Zigbee/ZWave/Matter... I dont mind putting something together myself, just can't seem to figure out what the right combination would be.

Guess I should add, I want to be able to control the color and brightness of the lights as a whole but dont care about individual control

"FVTLED offers Wi-Fi control of their LED products, but they don't publicly document a formal API for developers. Instead, they provide a user-facing app and control through platforms like Alexa and Google Assistant. "

Meaning you cannot connect them to Hubitat, directly. You might be able to export a virtual device to Alexa or Google, but it might be the hard way to go.

That's the problem with WiFi devices. In general they pick WiFi so that it can be proprietary.

If the lamps themselves are just a RGB(W) string, then you could replace that with a more standard RGBW controller, such as Zooz, Qubino or Fibaro

I appreciate the info on FVTLED but, I am hoping someone can point me in the direction of a similar product that's Zigbee, Zwave, or Matter as I am having trouble putting my finger on that myself.

Well, for what it's worth, I use Govee RGBIC waterproof strip lights on my deck rails. Yes, they're wifi, but there are native Hubitat drivers for them. Been great in the 18 months I've had them. There are newer versions I guess, but these are the ones I have.

Just saying that there are some WiFi devices that have drivers: I use Govee, LifX and Kasa devices that work fine natively.

The strip lights might work for my walk way but because of the way the stairs are and the access I have to them I need something I can drill in from the front and wire up from the back.

Out of curiosity do you know if the Govee integration is cloud dependent or fully on-prem?

Thanks.

It's local. No cloud delay or dependency.

So... Right after I posted this one segment (about 10 inches) of the nearly 100 feet of lights I have seems to have had it's blue LEDs die. So, now when the strip is set to white, that little segment is yellow. And yes, it's totally aggravating. So, maybe I don't recommend Govee anymore... :frowning:
