First off; I have been VERY happy with Hubitat over Smartthings. Support is excellent and the responsiveness of the platform is noticeable. Here is my dashboard I have mounted in my kitchen.
Before any one asks, I am running a custom webpage my son wrote over the summer for a high school project. It is a lot like Sharptools (which I like but it doesn't run local). It allows me to configure iFrames which contain the dashboards. The time, google calendar, and graph are custom web apps my son wrote for "fun".
My questions:
Is it possible to remove the "switch" and "button 1" titles?
Is three a plan to allow changing icons?
Any hope for "room" buttons that control the whole room?
As another note; I saw on the forums a desire for Scenes. My straight forward solution is to make a virtual button and then use the Button Controller app to set my scene.
Thanks All.
Ps. I posted a similar post o the ActionTiles site a month ago and I was requested not to since it used a custom solution.
Appreciate the great screen shot and questions. Thanks for the suggestions.
As for your questions:
Not at this time but it is a much asked for feature and we hope to add it at some point down the road.
Icon changing is also something people want, and we are working on a solution but ran into a few limitations as to what we can serve up from a single groovy app and working through those issues first
Room buttons would be nice and we have plans to do much more with "rooms", "groups", etc.
And from the looks of it, a "Congrats" might be in order on the schedule?
Again, appreciate the suggestions, please don't hesitate. Rome wasn't built in a day and we appreciate your patience as we continue to improve Hubitat Elevation.
Yes; a Raspberry PI. I set it up for my son who has thus far written multiple interfaces for my HA. It runs the aforementioned Webpage, a Samsung TV IP Smartthings Driver, a Custom Denon driver. As soon as he ports them over, I plan to post them for the community to use...
Speaking from a position of almost complete ignorance about how dashboard is coded or runs, I would love to see it looking like Sharptools but still running locally. Custom text, icons & colours in a built-in dashboard system and together with the power of Hubitat generally and you've got a sure fire winner IMO.
