Dashboard delay "loading variables" now happening

This just started happening on my C7 ver 2.4.0.151

When I go to my Dashboards screen and click to open 1 of about 5 I have, it first flashes "Loading variables" before showing my dashboard. Everytime I click to another dashboard this happens.
I did not change anything, and before this did not happen. Click a dashboard, and it just opens. Now I get this delay. It is especially frustrating on my Fully Kiosk wall tablet to see this everytijme before it shows the dashboard.

Anyone else notice this now? What is it doing "loading variables"?

This is new?

I always get "Loading Dashboard.... Loading Layout... Loading Variables". Takes a couple seconds. The bigger your dashboards get, the longer it will take. My dashboard that takes a couple seconds has 106 devices on it, and many many CSS customizations.

I always assumed Loading Variables referred to the Hub variables. Did you recently add hub variables to the Hub that it is now loading?

I noticed this via my wall tablet running fully kiosk. When the screen turned on the loading variables screen showed a few seconds before my dashboard. It has always quickly just displayed my dashboard.
That is when I went to my PC to load a dashboard, and saw it as well. I believe it always did this on my PC and I understand what it is actually doing, so no big. But it never showed this on my Fully Kiosk. This is what prompted me to ask about it.
I have not added more dashboards or variables, it just started happening.
The PC dashboard thing is not a problem. But in FK, it is bothersome and happens as I change dashboard views in FK. Looks bad.

Agreed, this is expected behavior. And I can’t tell from what the OP has shared so far what has actually changed for them.

@buckchucko how long does it now take for your dashboards to load? 5 seconds? 30 seconds? 5 minutes?

Did you try restarting the tablet? It sounds like everything just slowed down, so you are now seeing things that used to just flash by.

I'll give it a try.
