Once in a while, not very often, if I go to my dashboards, nothing will load. All my devices have a network ID of 10.x.x.x, but when I try and access a specific dashboard, it will try and access 192.168.x.x. When I go to any of the other menu selections, it always works and shows the 10.x.x.x IP in the lower left corner. Sometimes I need to reboot the hub to fix this. Any ideas?
was your hub IP always 10.x.x.x? or was it set up as 192.168.x.x and then changed?
i would try creating a new dashboard to see if it happens on all, or just that one
Also make sure you don't have two devices on your network with DHCP servers enabled it almost seems like you might have a second router your trying to use as a switch but it's handing out DHCP addresses, which if true will cause issues.
Thanks for the replies guys.
@dadarkgtprince My network was always configured as 10.x.x.x. I've got it locked down fairly well. Any device on the network is given a specific IP address based on its MAC address using the reserved IP table. Currently, when this happens, all my dashboards are affected the same way. If it happens again, I'll try creating a new one and see what happens.
@Terk I have a cable modem and use a Netgear Orbi as my router and DHCP server. I'm pretty confident that nothing else on my network is configured as a DHCP server. That would definitely cause problems though. My network configuration hasn't changed in quite a long time now. I've only noticed this glitch two or three times over the past month.
It might just be a limitation of HE for now. I know when they first introduced static IPs, it only allowed for a class C network, so anyone using class A like you weren't able to do it. Hopefully they fix it in the 2.2.7 release
