Dashboard background links not showing in android app

Since upgrading to software 2.3.4.115 a dashboard with local background links is not showing any background in the Hubitat Android App. The backgrounds show up correctly in the browser version. This used to work OK so seems to be a behavior change.

for example the 'Off' icon is defined as:

In the Android App the "On" & "Off" tiles have no background icon since the upgrade.
