Hi Johnnyvaneddie! Thanks for the response. It seems every time I make a change in one area, it seems to affect others.
OK! I did, once again, go to the HSM setup and did have to add my phone into the list. Now, I must AUTHORIZE it in the Dashboard menu so it will respond. All is working the way it should and I do recall when initially setting this up when I added it to my network but now I cannot seem to figure out how to AUTHORIZE the smartphone within the Dashboard I already have setup.
Hints/Ideas welcome!
Thanks again for responding.
If you set your phone up in HSM for your notification device and put in the message you should get the alert on your phone.
Good morning!
This is what I have right now.
Devices > Compatible device list > Mobile device IS LISTED!
Problem is that a listed Mobile Device doesn't show up in menus to add or authorize. I have two such mobile devices but it only lists one of them.
I have Dashboards setup but the listed mobile device is not in the menu to add a tile for. It is also not available in any other menus but does show up in the Compatible device list.
What am I missing here?
Just saw this....Your suggestion was/is a real help!!! I used it this morning. Seems the newer app on Google PlayStore may have changed a few settings. It stopped the notification sounds that I set inside the app under Hubitat Installed > Privacy > Notifications Allowed > SCROLL ALL THE WAY DOWN > Notification Categories > Hubitat > Other where I found Hubitat and Miscellaneous with buttons to the right to enable/disable. Tapping on each (not the buttons) brings me to a menu of sound options.
Here's the odd part. I set āHubitatā to one sound and āMiscellaneousā to another sound.
Then I armed the Hubitat to AWAY and waved my hand over a motion sensor. That sent the visual text notification as setup by me and the Hubitat sound played. Then about a minute later the Miscellaneous played the other different sound that I set. No idea why this was created within the app.
Long story as above, what I decided to do when the sound and notifications suddenly stopped working was to REMOVE/DELETE the Hubitat Safety Monitor within settings. Then I deleted to app from the phone to start fresh.
Then I reinstalled the app from Google Play Store, reinstalled Hubitat Safety Monitor.
But hereās the oddity! After closing every, I tried Arming it, waving the motion sensor, and received the visual text but the only sound that played was the āMiscellaneousā sound with no sound from the āHubitatā sound that was set.
Thatās it for now. I consider it working fine as of this writing.
