CT101 reset to 95 degrees

I have a CT101 thermostat on the hubitat Thermostat Scheduler. It is usually set to heat 68°F and 65°F at night. Cool set to 80°F. It is set to 58°F when away. Twice this winter it has randomly set its thermostatSetpoint to 95°F. Today I didn't realize it until waking up from a nap and the house was 76°F with the furnace running full. After the first time this happened, I wrote a rule to check that the thermostat was not set to anything above 68°F. This rule failed to fix the issue today.

I can't tell if the thermostat is doing this on its own, or if it is the hub doing it.

Has anyone seen anything like this? Any ideas?

I do not have a CT101 but on my Pearl I was able to set the max heat setting and the min cool setting.

Its not a solution but you might check if the CT101 has a similar capability.

Perhaps there was a communication issue and your "safety" rule reacted too quickly...... just a guess.

BTW My Honeywell went a similar route once. All of a sudden it was set at the heat min. I wrote a similar rule as you did but I added a variable as a counter to see how often it ran.

Look in the device events for that device and see if there is any record of the setpoint change to 95F. If not, then it is liekly happening outside of Hubitat...

Thanks, I'll look into that.

I do see the change in the device event list.
