I sure I used to see 450- 485MB after a reboot, then there was an initial drop to around 420MB and it would very slowly drop over a period of time. Now it seems to be nearer 350MB after a reboot and falls faster - I'm at 250MB after 84 hours

Yep, since i retired my C4 and went to a C7, i haven't had any slowdown issues or need to reboot. The reason for the two-hub split initially was to reduce the load on the C4, which it did. once it split, i never had slow down or freezing issues again.
I still run separate hubs for automations and devices, but I believe i could probably run it all on one hub without any significant issues. Im just too lazy to do the work to put it all back together again .
