I have found for the last two updates, that creating a backup is much faster? I create local backups of my 4 hubs every 2 weeks. The last two times it coincided with a hub firmware update.
TLDR; Hub backup is much faster is this normal?
I have a C7 that only has a few zigbee devices. I keep it in the house because I still have a few Iris V1 devices and until I get them all replaced I have to keep it going. This hub would take maybe 15 seconds to create a backup for download.
I have a C5 that is in my shop. It is pretty much stand alone and only has a few devices and rules on it. It would take only a slightly longer to create a backup for download.
The last two hubs are the main hubs in my house. A C8 that has all my home's devices and a few rules. It would take a minute or more to create a backup. The other C7 I have in the house contains most of my rules and cloud devices. That hub took several minutes to create and download a backup. In fact the Shop C5 and zigbee C7 could create a backup and load a new revision and almost be rebooted before the rules hub was through creating it's backup. Now they all take about the same amount of time.
I haven't seen any one mention this so I wonder if there was a change and should I be concerned the hubs are creating the backup so much faster. The fie sizes seem the same so it looks like it is working.
