Which company will be next to shut off its servers? Smart lighting manufacturer LIFX’s parent company has gone into receivership, and despite the company’s protestations on Reddit that all is fine, it’s hard not to worry.

Fortunately the Hubitat integration does not require their cloud to function… So if they did shutdown, and I see no indication that they are, it would not affect their use inside the Hubitat ecosystem..

Would new LIFX bulbs be able to be added, and firmware updated to current without the cloud? I have quite a few still boxed new devices.

I know you can using iOS.. In fact I found their app to be so horrible I just used HomeKit to add them to my WiFi and didn’t use their app..
