Controlling a heat pump with temp sensor

I have a C8 pro and would like to be able to control my heat pump when the temperature gets to about 15 F then shut it off. Is it something that could be done ?

How is your heat pump controlled now? What kind of thermostat? And what kind of heat pump?

I have a Broadlink RM mini3 connected to it and controlled by wifi

  • I presume you want to turn it off when the outdoor temperature is 15F. What outdoor temperature sensor do you plan to use?
  • Does the remote your heat-pump came with have an "Off" button or "power" button? Have you recorded the command sent by that button into the Broadlink?

Yes there is an off button. I wouldn't know how to record the command and see if someone would recommend a particular sensor to work with

Did we want to state the product model for the heatpump? Is this a portable thing?
