Control of Z-Wave Plug-In Dimmers

The Situation: I am setting up my Hubitat in a brand new (to me) home. I want to use either Z-Wave (GE etc) or Zigbee plug-in dimmers for bedroom lamps, and my living room. Two locations. I lost my PRO Lutron hub to a line surge at my previous home and for what Lutron gets for a new (if one can even find one!) one I can get several Z-Wave or Zigbee plug-ins. I want the same control I had before with Pico remotes: Fade up, Fade down, maybe even a "favorite" level.

The Question: What would be good button controllers for such things? I know ther are multi-button controls but will the routines / apps I need to write be difficult to do?

As ever, thanks in advance, gang!

You could look at Zooz...they have a battery powered button options, both of which look like a regular wall switches and can mount on a wall w/a switch cover, if that's an attractive option for you. Otherwise you could leave it on a table. The Zen37 is recargeable.

Zen34:

You can easily automate them w/your lamps via the built-in Button Controller app. Not sure, but the Zen34 may work out of the box as on/off and dim up/down capabilities using the HE built-in Zen34 driver.

@jtp10181 knows Zooz devices really well, develops community drivers for them.

That looks just about right for my needs! I will wait for others to step in (if they do) with more ideas before I mark this solved. Thanks very much; I appreciate both the idea and the fast response.

Bear in mind, nothing can replace the ease of use, small size, reliability, battery life, etc., etc., of a Pico. (Yes, I'm in love w/them.)

Oh, there is no question that they are great. I also did some rooting and pawing on the internet and fund the Lutron Pro hub at a price that was FAR better than I first found, making this topic now moot. I will check the Solution box and call it day.

Thanks, everyone!
