Control American Adjustables bed with Hubitat?

Has anyone found a way to control an American Adjustables adjustable bed with Hubitat? Here is a picture of the wireless remote. ChatGPT suggested trying to use one of these two devices. Any suggestions - or just push the button on the remote like the pioneers did.

Do you have any more info about the remote?

Is it IR or RF (and if so what frequency)?

Broadlink may be able to learn the codes from the remote and then control the bed via hubitat.

That's what ChatGPT wanted to know too! I inspected the remote and took off the battery cover and looked in there for the FCC notice but couldn't find one. I crawled under the bed but couldn't find a remote-specific label there either. It's not IR because it works with no view of the controller under the bed. I don't think it is Bluetooth. I will check with the manufacturer. Thanks for the reply!

ChatGPT found this:

*A Home Assistant user with a Richmat HJH89B remote reported FCC ID 2AJJGHJC0 and 2.4 GHz proprietary, not IR or 433 MHz"

Looks like no easy solution.

Yeah thatโ€™s probably not a good sign.

I'm giving up!

I will let Vicki push the buttons on the remote like the pioneers did.

You could probably rewire the bed with zigbee/zwave relays to control the actuators that control head/foot position.

Similar to what @vitaliy_kh did for the smart vents he uses.

If it is IR it will have an IR window at the front of the remote. You can also turn on the video camera of your phone and point the remote at the camera. You should see the IR flashing. I would bet it is RF unless you have to point your remote at a receiver somewhere on the bed.

I have a Reverie adjustable beds. Gladly the controller has an RS232 port. I was able to reverse engineer a control sequence and created a Hubduino ESP32 project. It works perfectly fine. Of course, it is 100% local. I could share this Hubduino project if anybody interested in. Just let me know.
